BenLubbs Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Hi Everyone,My name is Ben Lubbers. I live in Zeeland, MI and I love salmon fishing on Lake Michigan out of Holland. I started salmon fishing on my 15 1/2' aluminum boat about 3 years ago and have been hooked ever since. This year I summer I was trying to take a lot of acquaintances out with me but I was limited a lot by the weather (anything bigger than 2ft got really hairy on that boat). Finally this fall I decided it was time to upgrade and purchased a 1974 Slickcraft SS-235! Right now I am working on getting everything setup and in working order to start next year early. Hope to learn a lot from some more experienced fishermen on this site.
Adam Bomb Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Welcome aboard Ben. Thats a fine boat you purchased. A friend of mine ran one of those for years.

Nailer Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 In case you didn't know, Slickcraft was the predecessor to Tiara and Pursuit boats. A very solid boat, and made in Holland Michigan. The SS 23.5 is a great platform and will keep you safe in some nasty seas.Welcome aboard, and fell free to ask if you need anything.
