Boltman Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Wow, I think I've finally avoided the bearing demon.... Made the trip from Flint to Coopersville to get her winterized and repaired..(lil crack in the swimplatform) and had NO bearing issues... Damn I'm happy......Felt them half way there they weren't even warm.....I'm going to re-grease them every trip carry aprtable grease gun with me yeah Know???
Priority1 Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Don't over grease them. Watch the springs on the Bearing Buddies and grease as needed. Over greasing can blow out the seals and load the brakes with grease. When I bought Priority1 I had to deal with this issue. (Sins of the former owner).
Boltman Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 This trailer doesn't have buddy bearings at all, have to take the caps off and watch for the grease to come out around the bearings and Nut, and I won't over great them at all, I'd seriuosly like to get the boat off the trailer and repack all the bearing again, just for safe keepin, know what I mean.???? I'll watch them like a Hawk now and regrease at least once a month or so, thanks FRANK for the advice... I appreciate it greatly.
