I have been working extra overtime the last couple of weeks.

Last week I purchased my dream truck. Its a 2010 Ford F150 SVT Raptor with a 6.2L BOSS motor(411hp and 435lbs torque). The color is Blue Flame.

Hey Mike, let us know what the mileage is like.

Btw, sharp looking truck.

The sticker showed 14-18 mpg.

The truck has 4:10 gears and 35" tires. I got 13.8mpg on my last fill up driving back and forth to work. It has a display that shows the average miles per gallon. I checked the mileage on a trip to Kalamazoo. If I slow down to 65mph on the freeway, it gets almost 18mpg. It was up and down hills, so it was hard to get an exact mpg. I need a long smooth stretch to get the exact mileage on the freeway.

The only problem I have..........WHO CAN DRIVE 65mph on the freeway? :D :D :D

My F250 with a gas guzzling V10 gets worse mileage so I am not complaining. I road tripped it to Lansing and back at 65mph and got 14.4 mpg.

Now if I could only get the mileage that the sticker said , I would have a lot more money to buy fishing gear.

2007 F150 Supercrew 5.4L with the long box (6.5ft)

Averages 15-16 mpg in the warm weather. when cold 13.5mpg. Mike If it has a heater plug it in at night , it will help the mileage . Less time to warm up.

When it comes to mileage, I always do my own computations.

The on-board displays are rarely right.

With all of today's technology and mileage still sucks.

BTW, I would have those tires filled with nitrogen.

More stable pressure will make a difference in mileage as well.

Sweet truck Mike I just read where they are putting in the 6.2 liter.... that's awesome I'll take some pics of my New Truck here shortly....2010 F450.... it's is certainly a truck I've dreamed about for a long time...

The 13.8mpg I got with the last fill up was what I calculated with a calculator. The displayed showed 13.6mpg.

I will be having nitrogen put in the tires.

Wow, that's pretty close numbers.

Ford has come a long way in the last 3 years.

Glad to see they are doing so well.

They didn't take any bailout money and worked out their own solution. Good for them.

Hope you enjoy your truck!

Ok Well it won't climb big hills like a mountian climber, but it will pull the mountain around the country...

Nice looking rig Robert. Matches the trailer. :thumb: I see a ball on the back of your truck....I thought your trailer was a fifth wheel?

Posted

Yes the ball hitch is for The snowmobile trailer, and whatever else I can tow with it, the Fifth Wheel Hitch is attached to the trailer right now, cause I had to move some furniture...

To answer franks question, I'm really NOT looking for better mileage, though it should improve up to 5 mpg, I can get 16 when moving at 64 MPH, and 10 mpg towing, with the 433 rear end, it's not a mileage gear, but Man can it pull.

Thanks guys for the comments, Mike how do you like your interior in that Valasa Raptor?

I love mine, though it's a ittle stiff, it's very light biege, I worry bout it getting dirty so I make sure I'm clean most of the time.

That big block in your truck,... your going to LOVE that creature..
