JWheeler Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Fished both Saturday & Sunday this weekend. No lack of action, but with a few lesser experienced anglers aboard catching them was certainly a challenge. Saturday 11/16Riggers:70' down. big white paddle white fly41' down, small (3") j plug blue back51' down, small (3") j plug green backsuper screw 7 color125 & 175 CU spoonsdipsy's1 @ #3 spinnie fly 180 back1 @ #3 double orange crush 109' backshort cores were dead.At one point we had a quad on, that almost turned into 6 on at once. got 5 of the 6 to the boat. Ended the day 11/16. 5 ho's 4 steelies. Threw back 1 laker and a small king.More of the same on Sunday, altered the spread slightly, biggest change was the j plugs were dead today. ended a megar 4/13. Lot of opportunity, couldn't get them to the boat. Deep diver was taking good hits today with the big white paddle and white flly down about 80' according to the chart, maybe 4 or 5 hits. Broke off the biggest steelhead I've seen. 91' down on the rigger double orange crush, fish b lined and made a few awesome leaps out of the water and then my buddy broke it off......Weather was fantastic, action was good, I wish I was back out there right now!

EdB Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 That is a nice coho, the biggest I've seen this year.
JWheeler Posted October 20, 2010 Author Posted October 20, 2010 There are decent #'s of coho around. Hopefully this weather will hold for the weekend. Need to move the boat to Onekama for a couple of weeks and pick up 24# of smoked fish.
