Bullshark Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Hey all,I'm from the East Coast and am very much interested in spending more time fishing the Great Lakes and getting to know these waters well. I was in Michigan a couple of weeks ago and now I've ben bit by the Great lakes fishing bug..lol.I'd like to come back later in the fall for some steel head action. If anyone knows of any great spots for steel head, I'd love to hear from you.Dave
KJ pluggin Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 welcome to GLF Dave, that bug has bit a lot of people around here!
GLF Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Welcome aboard Dave. Give us a shout the next time you will be in state, and we will see what we can do about getting you on the big lake.
Just Hook'n Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Welcome to the site. Steelhead are OUT DEEP right now, but you can certainly have a lot of fun catching some of those acrobatic devils.
Nailer Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Welcome Dave. First off what port/area will you be closest to? There are a few guys here that are very good at the fall Steel program. Most notably Tangled Mess It may be worth you time to take a charter with him.
Bullshark Posted September 15, 2010 Author Posted September 15, 2010 Hi all,Thanks for the warm welcomes. Nailer, to answer your question, I'm In Massachusetts(please don't hold that against me..LOL), so I'm not close to any specific port. At this point in time, I'm primarily looking to learn as much as I can about the fishing in the Great Lakes Region. Huron and Erie are the two bodies of water, I'd like to zero in on for starters.
Grant Sadler Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Welcome to site, GREAT bunch of guys here If your doing the Lake huron thing I may be able to help you a little, also some other guys can to, Like Top Dawg,--- where are you David,
Priority1 Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Dave, A warm welcome to the GLF site. Just holler if ya need any help.
