Just Hook'n Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 FINALLY got out on the lake and it was nice. I don't think we've been out since the Gold Coast tourney. Went out to 195 and dropped lines trying for the 2-3 year olds and some steel. Marked most of our fish down 90-110, but they were scattered. Did mark a few pockets of fish but only managed one steelhead on 3 color lead with a screwball and at the same time a small king on a killer dolphin on 300 copper. I think we were in about 200fow about straight out. Last trip of the season as we pulled the boat at the end of the night. I know it's early, but I have some work to do. Getting new bimini top and have some engine and outdrive ideas to get the boat out of the water faster. For those of you that fish tournaments, you probably don't see us until weigh in as we are S L O W to get up on the water.
A-Fishy-Anado Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Thanks for all your reports this season Mark. You are a great contributor to GLF:thumb:
Katrina Seath Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Good job Mark. What is a screwball and if it's a spoon, what size?

tgafish Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Good job Mark. What is a screwball and if it's a spoon, what size?
Just Hook'n Posted September 15, 2010 Author Posted September 15, 2010 I think TGA has a black screwball in the picture, but that is the idea. The one we used was actually a silver spoon with the same tape and spots in the middle. It's a silver streak. One of very few on my boat, but I've been on other boats and this thing works. I actually have the black, the sivler and I think a modified. Size is comparable to a stingray or standard 4" spoon. The copper hit was also a stingray size spoon.
Just Hook'n Posted September 15, 2010 Author Posted September 15, 2010 Jimmy, just give me a call. I LOVE to fish and I'd be very honored to be aboard the bobber.
DIRTY DOG Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Mark that is a screw ball that tom has a pic of , your thinking of a supper screw, if its the one we used on the DOG in ludvill.
Just Hook'n Posted September 16, 2010 Author Posted September 16, 2010 it's the one that Ken has a picture of. I may be calling it the wrong thing, but I don't think so. there is a regular screwball, a black screwball and a super (or modified) screwball.
