SUPERTRAMP Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Well the MC2 is finally back in business, left the slip @ 6:00 am and set lines in 40 FOW, gave one pass in front of the piers with out marking anything so pulled up and ran out to 95 FOW set the full spread and headed west with the wind at our back. Had a rip on a full core in 120 FOW, Stingray carmel dolphin, and no one home. Finally decided to pull lines in 190 FOW and ended up with 2 fish as we pulled the riggers both deep riggers went 1 at 78' and the other @88' green dolphin DW mag, and Silver Horde pearl glow black ladder back. Ended the day in 4 to 7' rollers with the tops being blown off with 1 king about 4# and a nice steelhead about 5#s. (When is this wind gonna stop blowin). The water was 70 degrees at the piers and 68 degrees in 180 FOW. Hope to get back out Sunday morning.
Adam Bomb Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Great report Mike. Hell of an effort as well.
DKuiper Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 We were out there yesterday also, Mike. Not a pleasant day to fish. Rough, long ride, hour and a half in my 19' aluminum boat, coming in against that chop. One crew member was chumming by the time we got lines set in 120 FOW. Trolled out to 170 with 4 riggers and 2 cores which is all I wanted to try to handle with a 3 man crew with one of those really not usable! Not one rip or release. Got in close and we fished the pierhead area for a couple of hours and nothing doing in there either. Glad to see you got some fish.Duane
