Hope to head out today about 4PM. Dropping down in 130's and heading NW for a while. Not gonna bother chasing the darkies. If we get into anything we'll shout out.

Rough day on the lake this morning. Started in 1 footers (70 FOW) which built to near 3 footers by 8 a.m. (120 FOW). The wind & the current were very strong to the East. However, the Holland & GH webcams shows calm water right now. The fish were scattered but some pockets of a lot of fish. We went 1/1 - 10# King. Heard a few more caught, but most returned to the dock with empty boxes. Water is still fairly warm top to bottom, through 100 FOW. Only hit/fish came on a wire diver with green glow frog spinnie & white glow fly. Fished 6:15 - 10:00 a.m.

BTW. . . the King we landed put up quite the fight and we thought it to be much greater than the eventual 10#. Not too dark; just starting to turn.

6 for 7. 190-200 3 miles North of the heads. Nothing over 11 lbs. 4 kings, coho, steel. Rigger spoon bite. One on 250 copper J plug. Took my niece and her boyfriend out for their first time fishing from a boat. They did great. Unbelievable luck as 2 fish got wrapped in the wire diver and both were landed. 25# Big game rocks.

5-8:30. Pulled lines when it was still light enough to fish to make the rookies comfy.

Only bites were East and North troll.

Surface 68. Cold water 50 down
