tgafish Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Hope to head out today about 4PM. Dropping down in 130's and heading NW for a while. Not gonna bother chasing the darkies. If we get into anything we'll shout out.
Hollandpiper Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Rough day on the lake this morning. Started in 1 footers (70 FOW) which built to near 3 footers by 8 a.m. (120 FOW). The wind & the current were very strong to the East. However, the Holland & GH webcams shows calm water right now. The fish were scattered but some pockets of a lot of fish. We went 1/1 - 10# King. Heard a few more caught, but most returned to the dock with empty boxes. Water is still fairly warm top to bottom, through 100 FOW. Only hit/fish came on a wire diver with green glow frog spinnie & white glow fly. Fished 6:15 - 10:00 a.m.
Hollandpiper Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 BTW. . . the King we landed put up quite the fight and we thought it to be much greater than the eventual 10#. Not too dark; just starting to turn.
tgafish Posted September 11, 2010 Author Posted September 11, 2010 6 for 7. 190-200 3 miles North of the heads. Nothing over 11 lbs. 4 kings, coho, steel. Rigger spoon bite. One on 250 copper J plug. Took my niece and her boyfriend out for their first time fishing from a boat. They did great. Unbelievable luck as 2 fish got wrapped in the wire diver and both were landed. 25# Big game rocks.5-8:30. Pulled lines when it was still light enough to fish to make the rookies comfy. Only bites were East and North troll.Surface 68. Cold water 50 down
Just Hook'n Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Thanks for the report. We hope to get in one more trip before we pull for the season. Nice numbers.
