Cleanup help is on the way for Algoma and Kewaunee beaches. The clear water may hold pesticides, bird and other wildlife waste and refuse flowing from storm water and inflow pipes. Nutrient-rich materials support the growth of algae and other plants. Drifting up on beaches, it can turn black and produces a stench as it decomposes.
