Thanks Bill! I would like to make one this winter once I have a little money but I will remember this post. Have you made your own? If so could you post pics/specs like board and camera type.

I have not made one of these as of yet.

I have modified a few.

So that instead of using all those "D" cell batteries, mine use a single or double six volt lantern battery or gell cell.

Justin,

What I did was to locate the Positive post and the negative post on the inside of the camera, soldered a wire to each and extended it thru the bottom or back of the case. To get it thru the case, I drilled a 1/4" hole and put the wires thru, then sealed with silicone.

Attach alligator clips to ends and attach to battery.

I used a red clip for positive and black for negative.

Place battery in a canvas bag, attach to tree with a strap and your good to go.

They really are simple to do. Takes about 15-30 minutes to complete.

My problem is getting in the camera. I think I can figure the wiring out but my cam is sealed. Thanks for the wiring info! Doesn't seem too bad..

Not sure which one you have, but, should be some small rubber "buttons" or plugs covering the screws that hold the case together.

Has to be a way to get into the case, they have to preform service on them.

Justin, when you get your camera back home, let me know what model you have. We can figure out how to modify it then.
