anthonyyost Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Looking for a good recipe for smoked salmon patties that don't have a lot of carbs. Going to smoke up my fish in the freezer before I head over to Ludington to fish between the 4th and 12th of September. Thanks
Treblemaker Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 2c cooked chopped salmon 1/4c pork sausage1/4c green pepper, finely diced1/4c onion finely diced1/4c celery finely diced1egg2tbs parsley2tbs mayo1/8 t garlic salt1/4c Italian breadcrumbsSauté onions, celery, green peppers, and sausage SLIGHTLY. Mix these together with the rest of the ingredients. Patties should be almost to moist to handle. Dredge patties in additional breadcrumbs. Fry in oil until golden brown 8 to 10 min. Reheats very well. Try slightly more or hot sausage for a zestier patty.
hfitch Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 that sounds delicious. I maybe trying that one myself! by cooked salmon do you mean smoked or cooked some other way?
Treblemaker Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I usually use leftover grilled salmon. Should be good with smoked or canned salmon but I have not tried it. You could probably use raw ground or chopped salmon since you are cooking the burger.
kruser Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 I use smoked salmon, add smoked cheddar cheese, egg, cracker crumbs. If you like smoky flavor, these are good.
Line Dancin Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 I have just enough smoked salmon in the fride right now to try that.
Avid Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 2c cooked chopped salmon 1/4c pork sausage 1/4c green pepper, finely diced 1/4c onion finely diced 1/4c celery finely diced 1egg 2tbs parsley 2tbs mayo 1/8 t garlic salt 1/4c Italian breadcrumbs Sauté onions, celery, green peppers, and sausage SLIGHTLY. Mix these together with the rest of the ingredients. Patties should be almost to moist to handle. Dredge patties in additional breadcrumbs. Fry in oil until golden brown 8 to 10 min.
