john decker Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 headed out of gh tue morning with buddies dave,gary. set lines in 70 fow mile or 2 n of port.marked lots of fish up high on way out,probably should have slowed and seen what they were.rode out to 125,nothing happening for us.took 3lb jack on 1/2 core with 4oz snap wt,50 to brd with a stingray blu glopuke in 90fow.hit 8lb king on stingray n.b.k. on fullcore in 75 fow. put down meat rig behind white fishcatcher off rigger,down 68.it went in 80fow but came undone. hit 5lb coho on full core,nbk setup in 70fow. last fish was 12 lb king on half core and nailer blu dolphin,no wht. tough bite today,some boats saying they are chowing under full moon.might be correct as our bites happened after 930am.3 kings,1 coho landed.headed to ludville on fri.to get dad,brother ken out,hope weather[wind] permits.
