Grant Sadler Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Opponents who hoped Monroe would become the fifth New York county to reject the idea of offshore wind farms have fallen a little short.More...I hope it's OK to reply to this thread, and not be bashing anyone:p but as a great lakes fisherman, and open water user I don't think we need these things in the lakes, I don't think the lake bottom will hold these units in strong winds, and ice flows, not to mention cables and who knows what in the water, I glad there is majority that has ?????s, we have enough things in are GREAT LAKES to deal with now:eek:, My 2 cents worth sorry:mad:
steeliebob Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 There are plenty of islands, vacant or unplanted farmland, and no thanks to certain politicians that I will not mention by name loads of belly up business properties in Michigan where the wind farm can be placed
