KJ pluggin Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Ran out to the bank last night to catch the evening bite and got into some pretty good steady action. We trolled from 6:00 to 9:00 and ended up going 14 for 16. Before I could get my last rigger set the starboard dipsy goes off and we boat our first fish, a 14# king. From then on we never went more than 20 min with out a fish on. 120 to 140 FOW were all good depths for us last night. Riggers and dipsies were the best presentation for us with riggers down 100 to 110 and dipsies back 240 to 260. Flies and spoons both took there share of fish but the FF combos did the most damage. For flies they preferred a white crush glow blade and glow flies with blue glow beads. For spoons a happee meal spoon on a rigger was a stud. Most of the fish we took were on a North troll at 2.2 to 2.5 SOG. It was a great night to be on the water.
Just Hook'n Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 WOW. THAT is a lot of fishes. Nicely done sir.
