SUPERTRAMP Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 What a day, between dodging storms and trying to boat big fish we had a great trip, ended up 11 for 16 with 1 coho,1 32 Inch Steelhead, and 9 Kings between 7 and 18 lbs. Started the day straight out and a little south of the piers set up in 65 FOW and trolled NW to 70 before the first rigger fired green glow J plug 67 down , next was a nice coho on the 44' rigger carmel dolphin Stinger, then came the steelhead on full core modified carmel dolphin stinger. Then came the lightning, pulled everything and ran in to the marina, @ 8:20 sat around for an hour and headed back out to a calm lake, and the fishing got better as the day progressed, definitely a plug bite for the most part, both on full core and riggers of the 16 fish on 10 came on plugs, 1 on 11" green paddle and 5 on the carmel dolphin Stingers high in the water column 44 to 49 ft and on the full cores. Full box of fish and happy fishermen makes for a great day. We ended up getting the biggest fish of the day on the riggers as we were pulling lines deep rigger with the pearl glow Silver Horde fired and that fish was 34" long and scaled 18 lbs and 4 oz.Mike SupertrampBoat Name MC2
