8 pm start at 140's marked bait and a few fish...troll into 110, one king 5 lber just as sun goes down on MS bloody nose and 300 copper... radio chatter of a flurry of fish caught in 70' of water 60 down by one or 2 boats... at launch most of the boats had 1-3 fish. Another beautiful night in the WARM water.

I think people are just getting lucky and finding a few pockets of cold water.

At least that is what we did Monday night (got lucky).

The cold water was not very abundant.

Fished muskegon 08/10 pm and ended up 1 for 2 with 1 12 lb. king. Tough fishing right now. Might be time to start chasing steelies out deep again. Last year around this time I found an abundant supply out in 325 +.

I just got a report of guys getting lots of fish in 170 to 225 out of grand haven. jimmy

Fished from 7:30 to 10, 90 to 70 ft water. Trolled south to Holland and back. Marked some nice fish near bottom about half way there and got a real nice strike, halfway back to boat it was gone. Made turn and headed on North troll, another strike same result. Picked up one king(8lbs). All were on dipsy, 11 in pearl flasher with bloody nose fly, back 140 in 80fow.

Met only flies forever for first time!
