jimcr Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I was able to give my new Depth Raider a good run and see if I could find the current. I guess from my findings I have been running on the slow side . Started off in 53 ft marking a few fish but no takers , bait was present also. kept moving north and picked up 1 7lb king. Stayed on a north troll until we hit the towers and turned back southwest. not long after that pick up another king about 5lbs. Then after a short quite time it hit, didn't take any line out but doubled over my 10'6" rod. As I went to net this fish I couldn't beleave what I saw, an extremely large brown. Came on a 5 color J PLUG, weighing 17lbs. congrats to my brother in law Chuck on his biggest fish yet on the big pond. Ended up 3 for 3 and one big smile. Tight Lines Jim "] "]
Nailer Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 That's a great looking Brown Jim. My suggestion to you would be; keep running your same program with speed. You have been consistently getting fish with what your doing.
KJ pluggin Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 Nice work Jim, that is a beautiful brown. One of these days I m going to have to get. Probe as well.
