jimbobber Posted August 8, 2010 Share Posted August 8, 2010 We ended up 9 for 10 with 2 browns,2 steelies,and 5 kings ,we fished in 50to60 fow 45 to 50 down. this is what worked for us. 2 on beef eater jp slammer on rigger, 1 on mnt.dew flasher with mirage flie on rigger down 40 , 2 on mnt.dew dodger with mirage flie on high diver back 125 1 on white on white dodger with green flie on high diverback 100 1 on green glow with black ladderback j plug on 150 copper, 1 on purple wonder bread glow silver horde plug on 150 copper, 1 on orange high ball jpslammer on 5 color, 1 on mi. sunset jp slammer on 5 color. a nice day to be out there i guess i should have been in the big red classic,I would have had biggest brown and steelie i think.and would have prob. been in the money oh well maybe next year i can afford it. pipe dream Posted August 8, 2010 Share Posted August 8, 2010 Jimmy,You could have had a good shot at big combo as well for the tournament if 1 of your kings were decent size. I believe the combined weight was around 23 or 24 #'s. 9 fish would have put You around 5th place in the classic. Biggest steel, brown, combo, and 5th place would have gotten a nice check.
