SUPERTRAMP Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Had Mike Leach, his son Kevin(university of Mi Safety) and daughter for an early morning run. Left the slip at 5:30 and ran out to 80 FOW, Set up 4 riggers with Stinger NBK and Modified Carmel Dolphin fm 49 to 82 down, 2 fullcores with same spoons, and 2 300 copper with same stuff, and 1 power pro Dipsey on 2 out 202'. Just got the spread out and the full core on the port side went nice steelhead about 4# the young ladies first ever and she handled the rod like a pro. Next was the 300 copper with carmel dolphin stingray and that was a very nice Laker around 15# just got every thing re set and the deep rigger with the modified carmel dolphin went off 2 year old king. The dipsey went and was on for a minute then came off, and another hit on the deep rigger never hooked up, all this befor 7:00, kinda slowed down until the weather ran us off at around 9:45. Got real lumpy really quick. Going up the channel between the piers had to keep the boat on plane to maintain steering. Glad the hard top is on this boat. Kept us nice and dry.Mike and this kids had a blast and took home some nice fillets.Mike(Supertramp)ChamberlinBoat Name MC2
