First Time on Lake Michigan

I am going to be heading to Lake Michigan this Saturday and Sunday to fish. Can anybody give me an idea of where to go? I am going to be launching from Grand Haven. This is my first time heading over there.

Karl, Welcome to the site. I would head out of the channel to 100 fow and put down. troll to the South and fish 75-90 feet down. If the wind is coming from the South, than run to the south before setting down, and troll North.

Welcome to the website Keith! If you look through the reports section, you will find reports from Holland to Whitehall. Read through those reports, and you should be able to catch fish in the same depths at Grand Haven as what you see in those reports. Perhaps a few of the people who fish GH will chime in and help out.

I fish mostly in between Holland and Grand Haven, but I can tell you that if you read the Holland reports, just repeat in GH. There is not much change between that area most of the year.
