Perch fishing

Ok this maybe the wrong place for this so fell free to move it if you would like.

My 8 and 10 year old want to go perch fishing. Is there a good port or ports on the west side. I have yet to see good perch fishing here in a while. They dont need trophys they just want to hold their poles and catch fish.

st joe and south haven. south haven is good out in front of deer lick creek st joe is good out in front of the piers and south

Holland also has good perch fishing. I have seen the boats just outside the pier and to the south. Out of Pt. Sheldon they fish around the bubbler alot.

My neighbor has been doing very good out of South Haven in 25 fow.

I would go to south haven holland is way to spotty.

South Haven in front of the dunes is usually pretty good! Good luck and be sure to let us know when your out and I will look for your boat if im out the same day and give ya a holler!

Another vote for South Haven, down by the dunes. Off the creek can be good, or it can be a goby-fest.
