Jose Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 So I was wondering, when running a dipsey you want it to be as close got the water as possible in the holder. My question is, will it cause a problem in waves if the rod tip hits the water will it be a problem. I'm always hesitant to run them when it's bumpy.
Adam Bomb Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I ran 4 last sunday in some VERY rough seas and have always in the past as well without any issues. I keep my low diver horizontal and with my custom rod holders keep the high diver just above it so it doesnt get into the low if a fish hits. The tip on the low does occassionally dip in the water. So far so good, no problems.
Jose Posted August 1, 2010 Author Posted August 1, 2010 Well that makes me feel a little bit better. We fish outta an 18 footer so if there are any waves over two foot there's a good chance they will hit the water
tbromund Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 My low divers hit the water all the time.same here, never had a problem.Tim
Paulywood Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 My low diver tips are in the water over half the time. Never had a problem.
