I hear you guys talking about sea fleas on your lines. What exactly are sea fleas?? Is it that green slime crud that accumulates on your lines or something else?

Here is their pic, a real pain when they get this bad but they dealt with it real well and won some nice bucks in a big tourney:

There is a product called Flea Flicker Line you can spool up on your mono rods that will keep them off. I used it last year on Lake Ontario and it worked well.

Damn! Must have been a slow day! LOL Just Kidding.....I know how fast those can accumulate. I have never run Cortlands Flea Flicker, but I have heard it does the job. We have been running 25lb McCoy Mean Green for 6 years now and it does a real nice job at keeping the fleas off too.

When fishing yesterday we have found a pretty easy way to get them off. Just group the fleas together on the line and make a loop (with the fleas at the bottom) with the line then hold the fleas with your hand and pull both sides of the loop and almost all the fleas come right off. Worked like a charm!

That's how some of our lines were yesterday out of Olcott.

Found it easier to cut the swivel off and just slide them off the line and then re tie.

Gonna have to look into that line from Cortland.
