You better not get that big one thats waiting for my dad! JK, good luck! I hope you do bag a bruiser. They are definitely there. I think that there was a 500lb plus bear taken near Olga Lake last year. My dad could have finally drawn a Baldwin Tag this year but is going to wait until next year because he is going to Canada this year. I hope to see some pics of a big one this fall! Are you going with bow or gun?

Started baiting in Benzie County last week. Two of my bait stations are getting hit and cleaned out every day. Checked Lake County out today and found some really good sign there also. Time will tell where the big boy is now.

Got trail cams set up? If not I would definitely suggest even getting some cheapies over every bait pile so you know which one you want to hunt most! Rifle or slug?

I have a cheapie cam. Been waiting to see what baits get hit and how far up they are willing to reach to get em. I am hunting mostly private land, so I can elevate baits.Then I will put the cam out on each site for a few days. I will be using my 30/06. Looking to try and hold out for a big bear the first week, after that somethings going to die.

Sounds good to me! Im 15 and have four points right now so hopefully Ill get a tag when I am 20-ish. Man do I hope you get a big bear, that would be soo sweet!
