Glen Arbor-Leland area

I will be up in this area for the next week. Don't know how much fishing I will be able to do but might be able to give it a shot. Anyone ever fish up there or have any info? I found a charter captain out of Leland that posts some reports and there is a tackle shop in Glen Arbor so I thought I would try to find out some info that way but was hoping someone might be able to help. Either way looks like a cool area for a boat ride.

I used to go there with my BIL many years ago. Fantastic perch fishing. The locals used kind of a back troll method to follow the schools. A beautiful area nonetheless. Enjoy yourself.

I have not been up there since I was a kid going over to Manitou Island with my dad hiking. AWESOME area. Just beautiful. What I remember from Leland - smoked FISHES. My mouth is watering just thinking about that cool little town and all the fishery activity. Not sure if it is still that way, but if they smoke em they have to catch em.

I was thinking of going there this Sat. too.But i am not sure yet. I just want to catch some salmon. I actually don't care where I go as long as i have a good chance of catching salmon.
