scgibby11 Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Hello all:Feel free to move this if I posted in the wrong area.I wondered if anyone has a referrence (or is willing to build one!) for the abbreviations that posters often use for spoon patterns. I realize that some manufactures have pictures of their patterns with the name, but the abbreviations are not always present.I've picked up on many--NBK (natural born killer), SOG (silver, orange, green), etc, but there are many others that I scratch my head about when I read posts.Anyone have thoughts?Scott

Bluefinn Fisher Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 How true that sometimes even the best of us who think we know all the names or what was abbreviated end being wrong. With so many of the names being copied regardless of manufacture do not always produce the same color pattern either. As an example, take a look at the "Bumble Bee" spoon from the different tackle companies to see that they are not the same. Here is another hitch, try to search for a spoon by name and it is not always as easy as you may think it would be. The "Earlybird" spoon is one I can not find to view right now as an example.
