Nailer Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 12 lb test line with lite weight poles, biult for bringing in the fish with a lot of fun.Put them on the rigger, and use the heavy one on the board. If you use the Torpedo weight system, you could get by using the rigger pole on a board.
SUPERTRAMP Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 I like to run 14# on the riggers in the spring then go to 20# flea flicker for later in the summer when the fleas go nuts.
Just Hook'n Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 I agree, riggers. This is how we did it in the old days (look at me talk). I remember when I was young my father catching fish on the riggers with 12 pound test and honey sticks (very light action rod) cranked down until the tips touched the water.
tltorrice Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 I run my lite lines off the riggers with clean spoons. If I use a flasher fly or a meat rig I will use a heaver line rod. I usually always run my probe rigger with the lite line.
Boltman Posted June 10, 2010 Author Posted June 10, 2010 Thanks guys I think I'm going to put them oon my riggers and see what happens.
