water_ratz Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Dragged the wife out fishing with me Sunday. She didnt want to get up at OH-DARK-THIRTY so we left the dock around 9AM. Had lines in water about 9:45 in 150FOW slightly south of the pierhead. Once again, Dipseys were dead silent. Ended up the day with 2 small kings around 3# each. One came on white paddle with mirage fly on rigger 85 down, other came on Mixed Veggies on rigger 70 down. Water depth 185, water temp 52.
Priority1 Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Gary, GJ on the pond. I wish my wife would go even if it was late in the day.
Nailer Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 My wife is not a fan of getting up out of a warm bed just to sit in a cold boat either. You did well for such a late start.
water_ratz Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 The boat DOES have beds......so I'm not really sure WHY she is so opposed to leaving early. We actually live on the boat during the summer. She could stay sleeping while I motor out.
Just Hook'n Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Great points Gary. I too wonder why people are concerned about going early when you sleep on the boat. Something about morning coffee and crap - blah blah blah.
