Recreation fish catch from West Michigan ports fell slightly in 2009

Data collected from sport anglers in 2009 shows a slight decline from the previous year in overall catch from West Michigan ports despite a significant increase in fishing efforts. But the state estimated that sport anglers for four of the Great Lakes harvested more fish and spent more time on the water compared to the year before.
