tgafish Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 Ran straight out and put down in 60 fow. River water was 72 and quickly dropped to 57 100 yards from the pier, down to 49 in 60fow. Got a rip right away on a rigger down 45 with a tin can/spoon combo. Farmed it. Nice rip on a 5 color blue whale. Farmed. Short rip on a full core stingray NBK. Off:mad:0-3 in first hour 60-90fow. Trolled out to 240 and back in. Took 2 small kings. One on the fore mentioned full core and 54 down on a rigger blueberry muffin. That was it. 6am-11:15Water was gorgeous with temps breaks and slicks everywhere. Should have been slaying them. Surface temps were 47 in close to 51 out deep. Down temps dropped fast at 44 down 20 and then 42 all the way down past that.Tried 2.2 to 3.1 mph. Took most hits at 2.4 SOG. 1 mile south to 1 mile northMarked a bait ball in 92 fow and a few fish in 85-145 but never got a mark to biteMoving the boat to Erie until the second week of July. Good luck out there fellas:thumb:
Just Hook'n Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 That is some tough fishing. Better than working though.
