mj6131
Saturday: Fished 85 to 105 fow. We were 10 for 12 at 10:00, the fish shut off for a while, then had a series of drive-bys on 3 and 5 color, so we ended up 11 for about 17 or 18 at the end. Everything caught fish except the one high line. Riggers at 55 and 65 with orange crush and blue dolphin did the most damage. Divers at 150 and 175 with killer dolphin and orange crush. Full, 5 and 3 color, (don't remember what was on them:confused:). Sunday: Same program as Sat., but only two of us. Ended up 7 for ? Had an exciting and a little bit expensive day. Some of the highlights: A fish on the rigger got into the wire. Landed the fish, then I tripped the dipsey while I tried to untangle the slider from the wire, a fish hit while I had it in my hand. (Glad I didn't have the wire around my hand!) Snagged something in 100 ft. with a full core, lost a board. A little later, 55' rigger goes off. Just landing that fish, the 5 color and the 175' dipsey go off. Had the dipsey 50' from the boat, broke off. The wife hands me the 5 color because the fish on it was really acting up. It was a fish that had to be pushing 20#, got it to within a foot or two of the net, the rod snapped and cut the line. So if anyone catches a thirty pounder this fall with a magnum lemon ice in it's mouth, it's mine! While this was happening, the other rigger went off, lost that fish too. Sat. fish were 8 kings, 2 coho, 1 laker Sun. fish were 6 kings, 1 steelhead. All in all, a great weekend of fishing.

mj6131
Thanks Mike. I guess you expect these things to happen, just not all in a row. Still, it made things pretty exciting. Sure would have liked to have landed that big one though. When the rod snapped, I started grabbing for the line, expecting that it was still attached, but the rod must have cut it.
