Priority1 Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Some real hogs Capt. John. I always wanted to try the Stannard Rock Laker Fishing. FANTASTIC.
Yooperdad Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Great day John. Things picked up for us too, later in the afternoon. What a gorgeous day at Stannard! I'm going to try and post a picture too.Mike
TopDawG Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 awesome catch and awesome day on the water, going to plan that trip very soon.
jimcr Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 you might need to put extra supports on the wall to hold up that 30lb fish
A-Fishy-Anado Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Those look like some happy customers John! We heard alot of hooting and hollering from your boat:thumb: Weather was great out there and the fish bit all day for us. We just didn't find the BIG HOGS like you did. Kind of bummed as my first fish was 20 lbs and we tossed it back without pics assuming that would be a smaller one by the end of the day and stayed out there until 5pm looking for the big boy to no avail. So, I have no fish pics. We only kept 8 around 5 lbs for the smoker. This is the crap we had to deal with on the 53 mile ride out there:thumb: A little bit of waves for the ride home, but were still able to cruise at 33 mph:thumb:
Priority1 Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Those lakers out of that COLD Superior water are a lot different in looks, and taste. I just gotta do it one of these days.
