jimbobber Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I just tie the fishermans cinch knot, you just need to make shure it does not unravel when you titen it up.

Adam Bomb Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Found this link in an old post about tying wire hope this helps ,I may try it myself. Jimmyhttp://www.lotsa.org/Wire%20Line%20Knot.htm Thats precisely what i use...Works fantastic!
Rayman96 Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 When I went looking for wire information, it was recommended to me to use the 30 lb. wire. I too got it from Atomik. You sacrifice very little depth for a lot more line strength. You will need to use a light drag or add a snubber as well.
Legacy Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 http://www.lotsa.org/Wire%20Line%20Knot.htmUse this knot it works great. NO more crimps!
Adam Bomb Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 tried out the new knot today and it held up nice! Its about as bullet proof as you can get Jim. Ive never had one fail. I love the simplicity of it too. So easy to tie.
jimbobber Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Thats for sure ive been struggleing for a couple of years trying to get a good knot Thanks Mike for this great learning tool(GLF web site!)
Adam Bomb Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I hear ya, i got my start with wire on a friends boat and he crimped his on. Worked great most of the time. Then one day im fighting a fish and the wire slipped outta the crimp. Lot a bunch of tackle and a fish. Looked for a new way and found it here. I saved that very link in my favorites right after reading it. Its so nice not having to buy crimps, or worrying about if its gonna hold or not.
