killerbe20 Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Read this in the local Racine paper, hometown of Johnson Outdoors. Possibly more bad news for Lowrance?http://www.journaltimes.com/business/local/article_a5689520-5f4c-11df-86ed-001cc4c03286.html
Indybleck Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Everybody had their favorite electronics and mine is Humminbird. I wasn't real sure at first but after I bought the 917c and got comfortable with the buttons I don't think I'll ever use anything else. I can't comment on customer service because I've never used it and hopefully won't have to in the future. I have three finders and all perform flawlessly so far.Tom
slickwater Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Now is Lowrance going to have to pay royalties on their side imaging.
GLF Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Personally....I dont see the merit in a law suit. All Lowrance had to do was turn a transducer sideways and develope their own software for it. I work for Perrigo, and we copy everyone's products.
Yankee Troller Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 I have been very satisfied with my new hummingbirds this year. Lowrance was desperate as far as I am concerned. I have had such poor customer service from them, and their products just weren't lasting. Their desperation may have led to their goof up on copying too closely.
