jimcr Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 My son and I were out today looking for some Coho but couldn't find them.Came back in the south gap setting the last pole ,I didn't even get a chance to put it in the rod holder, or hook it up on the down rigger,(so its still up top) This brown just nails it . Started taking lots of line because the drag was loose like I said didn't even get to put it in the rod holder. Very nice brown about 10LBS .Get it netted and in the live well and the other pole goes off.Now I'm thinking to myself this is going to be great, Ha the only two fish all day just minutes apart. I now know why , there was so much bait in the water , the lower 15feet was nothing but bait (32 feet deep) for a 1/4 mile. As we are moving I said to my son that pole just isn't acting right. I pulled it up and the spoon had hooked (snagged) an Alewife. Most of the time we were out after we crossed through the south gap I thought there was something wrong with my locater . I guess it wasn't wrong after all. Now if someone would show the coho where they are I could have a little fun with the coho. Tight Lines Jim
DIRTY DOG Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Nice job Jim , the brown in the bottom pic looks almost square.
