Katrina Seath Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Well, we barely kicked the skunk out of the boat this morning in the monsoon rain storm. We went 1 for 2 with a 9# king in 35 fow. High line with a red and gold thin fin 175ft back. Fished from 20 to 60 fow. Pulled lines at noon and headed for home.
Nailer Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Nice job Katrina and Mark. How was the lake this morning?
Wasabi Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 We were out of South Haven today too. Slow going for us as well. We washed more baits than I care to mention. One 6# laker taken on big paddle w/ fly 41 FOW south of Palisades, 40' down. Hardly anybody out fishing. What's the deal?Rough Diamond.
Adam Bomb Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Dang, had to be brutal over there. I went gobbler hunting with my buddy and the wind was whipping in Saginaw County at 5 am. Good job on the fish you got, had to be some tough conditions to be sure.
SUPERTRAMP Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Good job Mark and Katrina! The open boat program really is tough on a morning like the one we had Saturday. The MCsquared will be out Sunday AM, gonna try a little deeper water.MIke (supertramp)Boat name MC2
Priority1 Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 WTG Katrina and Mark. At least you were able to make it out there and the King was a bonus.
Katrina Seath Posted May 2, 2010 Author Posted May 2, 2010 Nice job Katrina and Mark. How was the lake this morning? The first two hours of daylight was a little rough with a few 4 footers and some heavy rain but it cleared up to be a nice day.
