GLF Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 After 20 years of environmental work, those striving to clean severely polluted rivers and harbors on the Great Lakes finally can claim a victory in the United States. The Oswego River, which empties into Lake Ontario in upstate New York, will be the first U.S. site removed from an international list of the Great Lakes' most polluted locations.
