Paulywood Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Finally found one online. Can't wait to get it and get it installed.
Nailer Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 I just read the specs on it. Sounds very nice. I like the sound of the built in SeaTalk and NMEA interface.
1mainiac Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Very cool Nick I will be wanting to go for a ride with you and check it out because if it works it would be much cheaper than my current plan and maybe I could do it this year.
usmcpaul Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Very cool. Please keep us updated on how it goes. I am seriously considering getting an autopilot next year.
Just Hook'n Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 what web site did you go with?I've found them for as cheap at $1499 but that is about as low as I was able to get.
Paulywood Posted April 15, 2010 Author Posted April 15, 2010 Mark, I got mine from Marine Discount Center. It was $1437 out the door. A lot of places list them online but don't actually have one in stock. This place had 2 before I ordered mine. According to Raymarine they won't be shipping any until mid-summer.
bluedevil Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Thats Awesome Nick... It is worth every penny in opinion. I hope to have one on mine soon.
Deuce Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I Have one, Love it. working on fine tunning, easy install and the auto commission is right close to perfect operation. was in some good 4/5 footers NP works great. The only thing that is not stated in the manual is that if the control head runs in reverse change the wires around there is no + or - to the control head unit.
Paulywood Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 Autopilot came today. With work and school, homework, finals, I won't be able to start the install until this weekend at the earliest.
bluedevil Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Good deal nick.. Now I know who to call when I put mine on. Just ordered one and should be in the end of the month..
DiverDennis Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Autopilot came today. With work and school, homework, finals, I won't be able to start the install until this weekend at the earliest.Nick,What control head did you get? I ordered an X-10 autopilot and ST70 control head from Marine Discount Center (eBay) the first week of Feburary. Got the X-10 a week later but it took 10 weeks for the ST70. They were out of stock and Raymarine took their time getting one out. Also had to order a 5 way spur connector (PN-A06064), 2 backbone terminators (PN-A06031), a SeaTalk2 adaptor cable (PN-A06048, E120 SeaTalk2 to X-10 seatalkNG) and a longer SeaTalkNG cable to go from the 5 way to the ST70 (PN-A06039). Got it all hooked up and dealer calibrated. After the bottom paint dries we'll get out there for sea trials.
DiverDennis Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Raymarine Reference Manual:This manual gives information on the Raymarine SeaTalkNG system. It should be read in conjunction with the documents for the individual products that connect to SeaTalkNG.http://www.raymarine.com/GetFile.aspx?fileId=400&categoryId=3
Paulywood Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 Dennis, I bought the pack so it came with the 6002 control head. It came with everything I need to install it.
Priority1 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Nick, Sugar Mama must be working OT. If I didn't like YELLING so much I'd get one myself. Not to cornfuse anyone I was talking about an Auto Pilot, but on second thought a Sugar Mama may buy me one.
Priority1 Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Nothin wrong with a Sugar Mamma Frank! For Sure For Sure. A darn good name for a boat.
