South Haven Bridge Times

I know the bridge in South Haven opens every half hour. What I dont know is what time in the morning it starts. I "may" try to work my starting times around the time of the bridge so I do not have to take the rods and antenna down each time I go out. Does anyone know what time the bridge starts in the morning?

Effective Tuesday, March 16, 2010 the Dyckman Avenue Bascule Bridge will operate from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on the hour and half-hour except 12:00 NOON and 1:00PM, Monday through Friday. On Saturday and Sunday the bridge will operate from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on the hour and the half-hour.

From 8:00 PM to 11:00PM the bridge will open upon three hours advance notice.

Effective Sunday, April 18, 2010 the bridge will operate as follows:

Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM

Friday 7:00 AM – Midnight (except 12:00 noon & 1:00 PM)

Saturday & Sunday 6:00 AM - Midnight

Holidays 6:00 AM - Midnight

Arrangement for the bridge to be opened at any other times should call the South Haven Police Department at 637-5151.

Bridge Tenders monitor on Channel 9 and transmit on Channel 12.
