bluedevil Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Fished Manistee yesterday afternoon and went 4-6, all browns. Started trolling the pier heads and went north following the dirty water and the waves, 2-4ft, and only went 0-1 north. That one was a good fish but we never saw it. Broke off after just a few minutes. Black and chrome medium size spoon. Turned around and headed south of the pier. Water was clearer and warmer, had anywhere from 45.3 to 46.7 degrees. went 4-5 about a mile south in 8fow. Blue and white, black and white, and clown rapala's took three and the other was on the black and chrome spoon. Boat ran good and I got my sea legs back (it was a bit ruff out there:eek:) so all in all a good trip for first time out this year.Good luck to all..
mattmishler Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Nice job i think that this a start of a rebound for the brown fishery.

bluedevil Posted March 20, 2010 Author Posted March 20, 2010 I miss my 18 right now but will the the 26 out of storage soon. Great JobThat reminded me of a good point to let every one know. There were 2 docks in at Manistee but they were the short ones. My Boat is 19' 6" and it was tricky to load back on the trailer. Just a heads up..
