offshore72 Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 yes!! The salmon and trout fishing on the lake is usually good when the water is cold. This day it was ICE almost 1 nautical mile in the bay,on the way in to the harbour. We spend many COLD days on the lake in the fall and winter, it is sometimes hard dayswhen it is windy and it is ice on the rods, and your hands are very stiff....................But when a salmon or trout strike then you forget some of the coldBut we have also nice and warm days on the lake in the spring and summer.
Daybreak Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Very Cool Pics! You would fit in great around here on Lake Superior!!
GLF Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Have you ever headed out on a day like that and have the ice blow the path back to the launch closed?
Priority1 Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Have you ever headed out on a day like that and have the ice blow the path back to the launch closed? I was thinking the same thing. Ya gotta love it. The Swedish ice breaker.
offshore72 Posted March 13, 2010 Author Posted March 13, 2010 No! not yet but it have take some time!!!!! several times to get in to the harbour again!! But when it is much drift ice, it can be a problem if the wind change direction!!! You must be careful and always try to think on the safety!! Yes LOVE the Salmon and trout Fishing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wish a nice weekend to you all !!
