Nailer Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I also went to 11' rods to so I can run longer leads. I never thought about letting them runout the drag. I think that will sounds like a solution. If I try to put out 4 later this year Can I use the same size divers set on 3 or do I need to use smaller ones.I use mags inside and out. You defiantly want to use the drag deploy method when resetting the out side diver,It's nice (but not a must) to have the out (high) diver on a longer rod than the inside diver. It just helps with rod tip separation, and that holder will be set a click higher.Inside diver at 1 or 1.5, and out at 3 works good.
steeliebob Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Are you fishing in an area where there is some current? If you are in an area near an island or a point the current can really change how a dipsey diver works. I have a difficult time with my dipsey divers when I fish between St Ignace and Mackinac Island. One day they work well and the next day I cannot run two poles to save my life.
