Grain and salt shipments up in 2009 at Port of Indiana Burns Harbor

The Ports of Indiana handled 7.2 million tons of cargo in 2009, a 7-percent increase over 2008 driven primary by increased shipments of coal, grain, salt and steel. "This past year was one of the most difficult business environments anyone can remember," said Rich Cooper, CEO for the Ports of Indiana.
