GLF Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 There is very little ice on the Southern part of Lake Michigan. Has anyone been out?
jay d Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 not yet,next week if the weather permits.checked out the launch in benton harbor mon and its clear,no docks yet.not too much ice floating out in front of the piers.didnt see any big flows on the sat picture,looked fishable to me:grin:

Line Dancin Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Went for a ride out to gold coast to pick up a few things and decided to check out the launch. there was no ice at all and three trailers. went around to the lake shore and standing on beach we watched one guy on a small boat fighting a fish. couldnt see any ice for as far as the eye could see. I am so ready to get out fishing.

sjk984 Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 I saw a guy with a cooler of browns (6) yesterday in manistee. I stoped and talk to him at the launch. He said he was out for about 7 hours on the lake. Now I wish I would have brought my boat instaed of my skis to take my wife fishing

Anyone know if docks are in at the St Joe city launch or Benton Harbor DNR launch?not as of yesterday morning they weren't heading back down there today to try off the pier for some browns or coho or what ever baits i'll check agian today and when i stop at tackle haven i'll ask if they know when they are gonna get the docks in and post it later tonight after i get home
glnmiller Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Just came from St Joe, all 3 docks are in at the St Joe city launch. 3 trailers in the lot. No docks in at the Benton Harbor DNR launch. Time to get some coho.
