Peanut flies for spring

I was tying some salmon flies for this summer and I made a couple peanut flies for spring. The nice thing about making my own flies is I can control the colors, skirt length and types of hooks. Its also nice on the pocket book. Question is what are some of your favorite colors, leader lengths, and flashers that are preferred when using this fly presentation.

Orange green and blue are what works for me mostly blue behind a small orange dodger.

Can you buy Peanut flies or should I try to make my own??

You can buy them. I'm pretty sure Sigg's Rigs (site sponsor) has a wide selection. I don't have any of his peanut flies but I have a ton of his regular ones and they are great.

Try some Blue/Gold! Thats my best spring color by far around here. I like em about 15" behind Red/Orange Mini-Spin Doctors, running 5-15 feet behind the ball on the chute riggers.

what nick said..his regular flies work great..dont see any reason his peanut flies wouldnt
