slickwater Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 We have been trying to find out where they catch the whitefish on Higgins lake. So we went to one of the bait shops there(not the Phoenix) and was told to fish in this one spot in 90 feet of water. Then I got a phone call from a friend that talked to the same shop over the phone and was told to go in 40 feet of water in the same area. This bait shop will never get my business again. You would think they would want to tell people the truth so they will come back.I can't understand what the big deal is about the whitefish there. We ended up contacting someone that fishes for them and was told right where to go to catch them. Which by the way was no where near where the shop told us to go.
Paulywood Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 The service at the bait shop you are talking about is not very good. I have had a lot of problems with them over various issues. That's why we only go to Phoenix. As far as whitefish, my uncle went out with one of the guides a couple of years ago and he learned how and where they catch them and lakers. If you want any info PM me and I will let you in on what I know. Granted, it isn't much but it could help. I did increase my laker catch after learning what he did. Good luck.
