Nailer Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I'm still in awe of this magnificent structure every time I go over or under her. From a few years back. Dusk Dark, with a Freighter passing. (2.5 seconds) The grace of winter.
Priority1 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I remember crossing in a ferry boat the Summer of 57 just months before it opened to traffic. It is an Awesome sight. I walked it a couple of times. 2007 was my last walk to celebrate the 50th anniversary. Thanks for posting the pics.
Hoosier_Steelheader Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Sweet pics.We went over to St Ignace last July it was cool & damp but the Mighty Mac was still awesome!I need to get a picture of my boat with the Mac in view, I'd have it made into a poster!
GLF Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I walked the Mac a couple years ago on my birthday. It was also the 50th anniversary for the bridge.

That's what made me think about pulling up there and getting mine taken.I'd have to hook up with someone though or put my brother out in an inner tube...
flyman013 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Beautiful Pictures of the Bridge! I love the Bridge. Had the pleasure of flying over it before 9/11 and it still looked huge from 2000 feet above:)
MY2SONS Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Awesome pics of the bridge. We use to go up there every year when we were kids, and I've always loved staying at Parkside Hotel and staring at the bridge listening to the cars click-clack across the expansion joints. Thanks for bringing back some awesome memories.
