Line Dancin Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Every year i add a couple tekotas to replace some of the convectors i have (upgradin). this year i am wanting to replace my 2 convectors that i have been using for my wire divers. what size should i go with. The 600lc or the 700 lc? i always put a full 1000 ft of wire on my wire reels.
HitMan Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 We have used the Shimano Tekota 600LC on our 6 wire rods (4 diver rods and 2 drop weight rods) since they have come out. There is plenty of room for way way way more than 1,000 feet of 30 lb. test wire.
1mainiac Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Keep in mind the line counters need a full spool to be accurate so unless you are going to put some backer on it the smaller reel will always be more accurate.
Nailer Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I've seen this question asked a lot. %90 of the time the answer is 600. 1,000' of wire fits perfectly. I use the 600's and love themThe 700's with backer will have a bit faster retrieve, due to the bigger spool. Great reels ether way.
Line Dancin Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 thanks everyone i ordered two of the 600lc's tonight.
A-Fishy-Anado Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 same here....switched 2 600 LC to 1000' wire last year and there is nothing like it!! You will be very happy you did!
