Every year i add a couple tekotas to replace some of the convectors i have (upgradin). this year i am wanting to replace my 2 convectors that i have been using for my wire divers. what size should i go with. The 600lc or the 700 lc? i always put a full 1000 ft of wire on my wire reels.

We have used the Shimano Tekota 600LC on our 6 wire rods (4 diver rods and 2 drop weight rods) since they have come out. There is plenty of room for way way way more than 1,000 feet of 30 lb. test wire.

I've seen this question asked a lot. %90 of the time the answer is 600. 1,000' of wire fits perfectly.

I use the 600's and love them

The 700's with backer will have a bit faster retrieve, due to the bigger spool. Great reels ether way.
